01
IRGC Missile Strike on MSC Sariska V
The IRGC claimed a cruise-missile attack on the cargo vessel MSC Sariska V roughly 40 nautical miles southeast of Umm Qasr, Iraq — the day's most significant kinetic event.
02
Twelve Transits, Eleven Running Dark
Twelve vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz — five inbound, seven outbound — and eleven ran dark, leaving a single AIS-visible crossing and underscoring sustained blackout conditions.
03
GPS Jamming Surges 43%
384 vessels were jammed in the monitored zone — up 42.9% on the 7-day average — with 4,563 false ship-to-ship meetings recorded across the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman.
04
IRGC Swarm Across Larak Waterway
Imagery captured 30+ IRGC fast craft surging westbound along Hormuz Island and 10+ more inside a stationary fleet of 13 dark tankers — an active IRGC posture across the waterway.
05
Kharg Crude Loading Idle 12 Days
Kharg Island's loading berths stayed clear for a 12th consecutive day (20 May–1 June), with no crude loading detected at Iran's primary export terminal.
06
France Detains Shadow-Fleet Tanker

Daily Intelligence Summary
Transit Activity

On 1 June 2026, 12 vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz — 5 inbound and 7 outbound. Only one crossing — the San Marino-flagged bulk carrier PILATUS MARINE — was AIS-visible; the remaining 11 ran dark. Inbound traffic was entirely dark Iranian- and Comoros-flagged cargo, including one unidentified hull detected via imagery, while outbound traffic was dominated by small Iranian-flagged cargo craft.

Gulf-Wide Presence

514 cargo ships and tankers were transmitting AIS across the Persian Gulf on 1 June, down from 543 the previous day — with 110 gulf-wide dark events recorded (+9% vs yesterday). The top flag cohorts are Iran (88), Panama (69), Comoros (62), UAE (51) and Liberia (31). Iranian-flagged tonnage retains a clear lead.

Key Intelligence Note

90 vessels in the Gulf carry High smuggling-risk indicators, with a further 84 rated Moderate. The day's most significant development was an IRGC-claimed cruise-missile strike on the cargo vessel MSC Sariska V southeast of Umm Qasr, Iraq, set against imagery of 13 dark tankers lying stationary in the Hormuz–Larak waterway under an active IRGC small-craft posture. Kharg Island's crude-export terminal recorded a 12th consecutive day without loading.

🚢 Container-Shielded Cargo Vessel Shows Strike Damage
A ~280 m dark cargo vessel stationary near 26.899°N, 56.319°E with containers stacked the full starboard length — shielding built from its own cargo.
Scorch marks assessed (not confirmed) as consistent with a prior missile/drone strike.
At least Day 21 since first imagery confirmation (first documented 11 May 2026).
🔶 Dark Panamax Completes Full Kharg Logistics Cycle
A 183 m dark Panamax tracked since mid-May shows a complete clandestine cycle: bunkering → dark inbound → Kharg loading → dark outbound → stationary laden.
Loaded crude at Kharg's T-pier 20 May (first confirmed load after a ~13-day gap), departed within hours.
Re-observed laden, dark, stationary at 26.956°N, 56.365°E on 1 June.
⚓ Kharg Island — 12 Days Without Crude Loading
T-pier and eastern crude jetty clear; no vessel alongside either platform — unchanged from 31 May.
12 consecutive days without crude loading (20 May → 1 June).
Four tugs/service craft (one dark) anchored southwest; a previously noted cluster of seven dhows could not be relocated.
